Sloley is a charming 45ft 6in traditional stern narrowboat built and fitted out by Bridgewater Boats. With her classic lines and practical layout, she offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to get started in canal boating. Currently out of the water and moored in Lancashire, she is readily available for inspection.

Built with a steel hull and flat-bottom design, the boat features marine ply flooring, wood-clad cabin sides, and polystyrene insulation. A combination of top-opening windows and portholes provides natural light while maintaining the traditional narrowboat style. Practical external features include a side hatch and cratch cover.

Sloley is powered by a Kubota Nanni four-cylinder diesel engine with an HBW 1002R gearbox and approximately 30 gallons fuel capacity. She is also fitted with a Sleipner Sidepower bow thruster to assist with manoeuvring. The hull was blacked with bitumen in 2023, including the baseplate.

Hot water is supplied via a calorifier and Webasto system, with Webasto central heating and a Little Wenlock solid fuel stove providing warmth. The boat has approximately 80 gallons of water storage and an electrical system consisting of 12v and 240v supplies, a pure sine wave inverter, one starter battery, three leisure batteries, and a galvanic isolator.

Inside, accommodation provides two berths with a fixed double bed. The galley includes a cooker and an Igenix 240v fridge, while the bathroom is fitted with a cassette toilet, shower, and vanity basin.
