Introducing Severn Belle, a 35ft ‘Glen L’ designed Union Jack steel Tug Trawler Yacht. The vessel cruises at a steady 6.5kts with a top speed of 7.5kts. Although she’s berthed on the Gloucester and Sharpness canal, she’s a very capable sea going vessel having deep bulwarks along with wide and high rails. Propulsion is provided by a Beta Marine 75hp engine, which is located below the large wheelhouse, a PRM gearbox and aided by a Vetus 75KGF bow thruster. Hot water on board is supplied by the calorifier and Eberspacher which needs some attention. Keep warm with the Refleks diesel stove located within the salon style area. Electrical systems comprising of a 12v, 240v landline, Sterling 1000w inverter & 40a charger, a Zeise 3kw generator (in need of some attention), 2 starter & 4 leisure batteries along with 2 x 100w solar panels. If that isn’t enough then feast your eyes on the navigation systems including a Furuno radar, Furuno fish finder & depth sounder as well as a Garmin chart plotter & Silva VHF radio. Within the galley area is a Nelson oven & hob along with a fridge and microwave. To the bow of the boat is a fixed double bed in a v formation making up the 2 berths onboard. The vessel was engineered and built with a true understanding and passion for boatbuilding. With many mass made boats out there, Severn Belle goes against the norm with being a quirky vessel that has been described as ‘a proper little ship’.
