Description
Serenity is a 57ft traditional stern narrowboat, built by Hixon Hulls in 2004 with a quality fit-out by Dave Brown. Her open, well-planned interior makes her ideal for gatherings aboard while enjoying the waterways. Finished in light ash throughout, with polystyrene insulation and a mixture of top-opening, sliding and porthole windows, she offers a bright and welcoming living space.
She is powered by an Isuzu 33hp, four-cylinder engine with keel cooling and a PRM 120 gearbox, supported by twin alternators and a 180-litre diesel tank. Well equipped for extended cruising, she also benefits from a cratch cover, side hatch, galvanic isolator, and two solar panels with an Epever MPPT controller.
The galley includes a Country Leisure cooker, Beko fridge with freezer compartment, water filter, and Whirlpool washing machine. Heating and hot water are provided via Webasto central heating, a calorifier, and an Aarrow solid fuel stove, keeping her comfortable year-round.
Accommodation comprises a fixed double bed and a sofa bed, sleeping up to four. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, vanity basin, cassette toilet (with spare), and a heated towel rail. Fresh water is stored in a generous 730-litre tank. Electrical systems include 12v and 240v supply, a Victron Phoenix Multiplus 2400w inverter, and a battery bank of one starter and four leisure batteries.
Currently based in Staffordshire, Serenity holds a Boat Safety Certificate valid until June 2028 and is due for blacking having last been done in 2018. She represents a well-maintained, well-equipped narrowboat ready for her next chapter on the water.
