Description
Introducing Layla, a smart and well-presented 45ft traditional stern narrowboat, built by Liverpool Boats with a fit-out by a previous owner. With a bright, open interior and potential to create additional berths in the saloon, she offers flexibility for both leisure cruising and extended stays afloat.
Powered by a Barrus Shire four-cylinder diesel engine with a PRM 150 gearbox, Layla provides reliable and straightforward handling. Her flat-bottomed steel hull (10/6/4) delivers reassuring stability, while the traditional stern layout adds to her classic appeal.
Inside, the cabin feels light and spacious, featuring laminate flooring, ply-lined cabin sides, double-glazed windows, and polystyrene insulation. Heating is provided by Webasto central heating alongside a solid fuel stove, with hot water supplied via calorifier, immersion and Webasto, making her comfortable year-round.
The galley is well equipped with a Normande domestic cooker, Dometic fridge/freezer, microwave and laminate worktops. Accommodation includes a fixed double bed, with scope to increase sleeping capacity if desired. The bathroom offers a Thetford cassette toilet, shower, and vanity basin.
Electrically, Layla benefits from 12v and 240v systems, a Victron 3kW inverter, Victron isolation transformer, and MPPT controller, with a solar panel fitted but not currently connected.
She has a Boat Safety Certificate which is due for renewal and also features a side hatch. Layla represents an attractive and practical narrowboat with clear potential to make your own.
