Description
Crimson is a 52ft traditional stern narrowboat built by Doug Moore, offering a warm and practical layout well suited to both leisure cruising and extended stays aboard. The enclosed bow adds valuable internal living space, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment as you travel the waterways.
Powered by a reliable Beta 43hp engine, Crimson is well equipped for confident cruising. Hot water is supplied via a Cointra gas boiler, with heating provided by a solid fuel stove, making the boat comfortable year-round. The electrical setup includes 12v and 240v systems, a Victron 1600w inverter, and two large solar panels with a charge controller, supporting efficient off-grid living.
Inside, the accommodation provides four berths, including a fixed double bed and an additional sofa bed within the saloon. The galley is fitted with a four-ring hob, oven and grill, alongside a 12v Montpellier fridge/freezer, with space available to add a washing machine if desired. The bathroom features a cassette toilet, shower, and vanity basin, offering all the essentials for onboard living.
Additional features include two side hatches, a pram cover, and a large 1200-litre water tank. The boat was last blacked in 2023, with the engine serviced in 2024, and holds a valid Boat Safety Certificate until October 2025.
