Description
Meet Luna: a beautifully presented 50ft traditional narrowboat, expertly built by Falcon Boats with a thoughtful fit-out by Ferwood. Designed to capture the timeless charm of life on the water, she features portholes throughout that flood her interior with soft natural light and create a wonderfully warm, homely atmosphere from bow to stern. Her classic traditional stern and graceful proportions make her every bit as lovely to moor and admire as she is to live aboard, perfectly blending heritage character with comfortable, practical modern living.
Powered by a reliable BMC 38hp four-cylinder diesel engine with keel cooling, Luna is built for steady, dependable cruising along canals and quiet waterways. She comes exceptionally well-prepared for her next owners: a full survey was completed in 2025, and she received a professional 2-pack blacking including baseplate work as recently as February 2026—so you can buy with real confidence. The steel hull is constructed from 6mm plating with a flat-bottomed design, offering strength and peace of mind, while her generous 40-gallon fuel tank and approximately 100-gallon water capacity mean you can enjoy longer trips without constant stops to refill.
Inside, Luna offers cosy and welcoming accommodation arranged for two people, with a fixed double berth and well-planned spaces that make the most of every foot of her length. The galley is fitted with Thetford cooking appliances and a practical fridge/freezer, ready for preparing meals while you watch the world drift by. Heating and hot water are reliably provided via a calorifier and immersion system, plus a charming Morso Squirrel stove to keep things snug on cooler evenings. Her bathroom is well-appointed with a compost toilet, bath/shower and vanity basin—bringing everyday comforts to life afloat.
Electrical provision is excellent and fully off-grid capable: 12V and 240V systems are supported by a 1600W Sterling inverter, a bank of batteries including lithium-ion leisure cells, and 500W of solar panels paired with a Victron MPPT controller—ideal for independent cruising. Additional practical touches include a side hatch and a space-saving vertical-cylinder washing machine, making life aboard straightforward and convenient.
Moored in Bristol and with her Boat Safety Certificate valid until October 2028, Luna is ready to view now and waiting to become your new home or holiday haven on the water.
