Description

Meet Saturn, a well-kept 50ft traditional stern narrowboat, built in 2005 by the Boston Boat Company. With her clean lines and freshly repainted interior, she offers a welcoming, airy living space ideal for both continuous cruising and extended stays.

Powered by a Barrus Shire 45hp engine, Saturn delivers reliable cruising performance, paired with a sturdy flat-bottomed steel hull (10/6/4) and insulated cabin sides finished in ply with Rockwool insulation. Her engine is supported by an Electrolux Travel Pack generator, Sterling 2.5kw inverter, and both 12v and 240v electrics—making onboard living both flexible and efficient. One starter and three leisure batteries are fitted alongside a Waeco charger, ready to keep you powered up whether moored or on the move.

Heating comes via a Bubble stove with back boiler, and hot water is supported by a calorifier and immersion system, making for a warm and practical set-up throughout the seasons. Saturn also includes a Whirlpool top loading washing machine. Within the galley we find an Electrolux cooker and Hotpoint fridge—adding touches of convenience for life onboard.

Accommodation is thoughtfully arranged for up to four people. A fixed double bed offers comfort and storage, while the saloon’s sofa bed provides flexibility for guests or day lounging. The walkthrough bathroom includes a cassette toilet, shower, and vanity basin, all finished in a practical layout that maximises use of space.

Saturn benefits from a cratch cover and double-glazed windows with integrated blinds, helping to enhance privacy, light control, and insulation. A recent survey and blacking in June 2024 give reassurance to prospective buyers, alongside a Boat Safety Certificate valid until December 2025.

She presents a fantastic opportunity to step aboard a well-equipped, mid-sized liveaboard or leisure boat with scope to personalise.
