Description

Lord Llangattock is a 52ft semi-traditional narrowboat, built in 2007 by Piper and fitted out by Scenic Boat Builders. Designed with generous internal space, this boat strikes a solid balance between comfort, efficiency, perfect for extended cruising or full-time living.

Powered by a Beta 38hp engine with a keel cooling system and mechanical gearbox, Lord Llangattock offers capable navigation. He’s fitted with a Victron inverter/charger (operating in multistage mode when on landline), four solar panels (400w), 1 starter & 3 leisure batteries and a Victron smart solar charge controller—making off-grid living not just possible, but practical

Heating and hot water come via a calorifier and a Hobbit 4kw solid fuel stove provides heatingss, with a Webasto central heating system onboard (currently not in operation). The stainless steel water tank holds approx. 100 gallons, ensuring a good supply for day-to-day life afloat.

Inside, you’ll find a double bed and a sofa bed, offering four berths in total. The bathroom includes a Thetford cassette toilet, vanity basin, and shower. The galley is fully equipped with a cooker and four-burner hob, a 12v LEC fridge, and ample worktop and cupboard space, making onboard living feel seamless.

Built with a 10/6/5/4 steel hull, this boat features solid wood flooring, ply cabin sides, and sprayfoam insulation. Windows include both portholes and top-opening styles, adding flexibility and light. The cratch cover extends useful space at the bow. Although due for blacking (last completed in 2020), Lord Llangattock holds a Boat Safety Certificate valid until 2027, providing peace of mind for the years ahead.
