Description

Introducing Willow, a brand new 60ft semi-traditional narrowboat that embodies the very best of modern inland waterway design and craftsmanship. Built in 2025, her hull is the work of the highly regarded Jonathan Wilson. The beautifully executed fit-out has been completed by Darren Aldridge Boat Fitting, whose attention to detail and dedication to quality are evident throughout.

From the moment you step aboard, Willow impresses with a warm, contemporary interior and thoughtful layout designed for both liveaboard comfort and extended cruising. The cabin is finished in a tasteful combination of painted ply and oak tongue-and-groove, complemented by Karndean flooring throughout for a durable, elegant finish. Her double-glazed portholes ensure a quiet, insulated environment while maintaining plenty of natural light.

Power and performance are handled by a reliable Vetus 42hp diesel engine, paired with a PRM gearbox and keel cooling system for efficient cruising. The Vetus 75KGF bow thruster offers precise manoeuvrability, while a sound-proofed engine cover ensures smooth and quiet running. Electrical systems include Victron 3kW inverter, Sterling split charge system, and a combination of 12v and 240v power options — supported by a 150w solar panel with ETFE coating and 1 starer, 4 leisure and 2 bow thruster batteries, ensuring dependable off-grid capability.

Life aboard Willow is designed for comfort in every season. Heating and hot water are provided via Webasto central heating, a calorifier, immersion heater, and a DEFRA-approved multi-fuel stove, keeping the cabin cosy all year round. The galley is fully equipped for life afloat, featuring a Shoreline fridge/freezer, Thetford cooker with separate four-burner hob, Beko washing machine, ceramic sink, and a pull-out larder for practical storage.

Accommodation is equally impressive, offering four berths with an extendable double bed in the master cabin and an L-shaped dinette that converts into an additional double. Between the bathroom and bedroom, there’s a dedicated office/dressing area, providing valuable flexibility for work or leisure.

The walkthrough bathroom combines modern fittings with home-like comfort, featuring a Tecma ceramic electric toilet with soft-close lid, a full quad shower, and a quartz vanity top with a ceramic basin.

Additional features include a cratch cover by Kinver Canopies and a 700-litre water tank, ensuring practical cruising range.Blacked with 2-pack epoxy in 2025, Willow is presented in excellent condition — ready for her first owner to take the helm and embark on new adventures.

The price reflects not just the materials, craftsmanship, and onboard equipment, but also the value you’re getting: durability and resale potential. A well-built narrowboat like this tends to hold its value much better than cheaper alternatives. Quality has its price — and this build represents the very best of what a narrowboat can be.
