Description
Step aboard HumDinger, a 65ft traditional narrowboat built by Alexander and beautifully fit out by Ben Harp. This is more than just a boat — it’s a well-crafted, ready-to-go escape. With a Beta Marine 43hp engine and a traditional stern, HumDinger delivers a classic silhouette paired with reliable, purposeful performance.
Inside, solid wood flooring sets a warm, grounded tone throughout, complemented by polished granite worktops in the galley. The layout has been thoughtfully designed for comfort and practicality, featuring a walkthrough bathroom equipped with a Vacuflush toilet, shower, and vanity basin. The sleeping arrangements include a double cross bed and two chair beds, allowing space for up to six people—ideal for both couples and occasional guests.
Onboard heating is provided by a Webasto system and a solid fuel stove, supported by spray foam insulation to keep conditions comfortable year-round. Hot water is delivered via a calorifier, immersion, and the Webasto itself, offering flexibility whether you’re plugged into shore power or cruising off-grid.
The boat’s electrical systems include both 12v and 240v, powered through a Mastervolt 2.5kw inverter. One starter and five leisure batteries provide ample energy storage, with a shoreline connection for convenience when moored. A 100-gallon water tank and an approximately 40-gallon diesel tank ensure you’re well equipped for extended journeys. Three side hatches bring in light, fresh air, and a closer connection to the waterway, enhancing the onboard experience.
Blacked in 2022 and with a Boat Safety Certificate valid until 2026, HumDinger is ready for its next chapter. Whether you’re planning to live aboard full-time or seeking a weekend retreat with soul, this vessel offers both charm and capability. Currently moored in Worcestershire, viewings are available by appointment only.
